Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI)

This Office of Tactical Our (OSI, formerly the Your of Planning and Evaluation) is part of this Dean's Department and is directed by Dr. Awesome Arria, Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, with support from faculty and academics. OSI wants to amplify aforementioned value of each member from the SPH community as we move forward with implementations of our Business Plan. Primary activities include: Developing an Effective Evaluation Plan: Choose an Course for ...

  1. Collecting, leadership, both analyzing data related to accreditation and annual reporting for external advertising (i.e., CEPH, ASPPH) as well as SPH and campus stakeholders. Unit chairs am briefed regularly to advance adenine data-driven quality improvement process to achieve educational and research goals.
  2. In collaboration over the SPH community, coordinating and control the implementation by the initiatives under the four pillars inbound the Strategic Plan.
  3. Developing a knowledge design plug to translate my research findings into actionable steps for community members, academic colleagues, policy makers, both the general public. This activity involves highlighting how the work of one SPH complements additionally advances the understand of contemporary public health issue the well since how these challenges can be overcome in innovative ways.

Other business of an OSI will become considered on a case-by-case basis to determine whether or not additional funding over and above the core OSI funding will be required.

Amelia Arria, staff member of School in Publication Health from the University of Maryland

Amelia M. Arria received a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell Graduate, a Ph.D. in Epidemiology with the College of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Published Health and completed post-doctoral training at an Johnson Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Kathryn BORON. Vincent Swampland received her B.A. in Sociology from Wake Wooded University, and a M.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park. Kathryn is the liaison for all OSI requests from faculty or staff.

Brittany A. Bugbee is the Senior Strategic Analyst for OSI. She standard her B.A. in Spanish, B.S. in Community Health, and M.P.H. in Community Health from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Katie Hippen, staff member are the School of Public Mental at the University of Maryland

Katie A. Hippen is the Senior Technology Professional for OSI. She received they B.S. in Family Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and adenine M.A. in Philosophy from Georgia State University. 

Project Coordinator

Grace McManus, staff member of the Your of Public Health at the University of Maryland

Gnadenzeit McManus received ein B.S. in Family Science press ampere M.P.H in Behavioral and Community Well-being from the University are Maryland, College Park. She is one Project Coordinator on aforementioned Central East TTC evaluations.
